Porch Retrofit (June 2019)

Design, Fabrication, Installation

The Pressure Treated framing installed in 1998 was still in good shape. The pine skirts and risers, and the cedar decking needed help!

Vinyl post sleeves were installed over the existing cedar posts, then PVC and vinyl trim 

components used to create a new geometric pattern railing system. PVC post caps top it off.

The pine and cedar were removed and new PVC side skirts and risers were installed.

Here, the TREX decking is almost complete.

The completed project. PVC, TREX, and vinyl components coupled with stainless steel fasteners make for a maintenance-free installation.
